EMMAUS LUTHERAN PRESCHOOL is excited to offer a high quality Christian Preschool to prepare young hearts and minds for school and for life!  To maintain a high quality learning environment our staff child ratios have been reduced to one to ten for Preschoolers, one to six for Early Preschool, and our VPK classes are two to eighteen.Our ratios exceed the State of Florida's Department of Children's and Families Services licensing's standards.  Our small classes, safe new facility and experienced teachers provide a learning environment where children can grow and learn.  Spiritual support and growth opportunities are available to our children, families and teachers.  Our parents are encouraged to actively participate in there child's educational programs.

 

OUR EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY is based on the belief that children learn about their physical and social worlds through playful interactions with objects and people.  Research shows that children learn best through direct hands on experiences with their environment using all their senses.  The children in this preschool will be actively involved in an environment that provides stimulating and challenging materials and activities that are carefully planned by our staff.

The creative curriculum will be enhanced through centers, hands on activities, songs, and finger plays.  Lesson plans will be carefully designed to meet the Florida Department of Education’s objective for literacy.  Included in the weekly schedule will be Chapel time with our Pastor.

 

EMMAUS LUTHERAN CHURCH AND PRESCHOOL supports families through a variety of programs; Sunday school from Preschool through Adult is offered weekly during the school year, Family Night activities including music education are offered on Wednesday evenings, and Vacation Bible School in the Spring.
